Guide Review - The Blissful Bath - Book Review
One of the unique things about soap making is that it's part of an overall attention to pampering and taking better care of ourselves - paying more attention to what we rub on our skin - and taking more delight in the textures and scents that make our bath time wonderful. Blissful Bath, compiled by Dawn Anderson, is a unique "soap making" book in that there are only a few soap recipes in it. She gives one good cold process recipe and two melt and pour recipes. She also gives a "bath tablet" and a "lip balm" recipe. The other 11 projects in the book are craft projects to help you transform your bathroom into a delightful refuge. From embellished shower curtains and hand towels to a beaded wastebasket and trimmed bath mat - she's looking at the bath room as a whole picture, from floor to ceiling. While I bought it for the soap recipes, it made me want to get out my sewing machine and paint brushes!
